Imagine 5 years from now, because of this oil catastrophe in the gulf,  your standing in line waiting for your ration of food, and your thinking to yourself, there is martial law, the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq continue, and your unable to celebrate Memorial Day at the beach because the oil is still washing up on the shore line. What would you do? Send your answer to mail@thesscc.org.

Stopped by mom's home on Sunday. Saw an excerpt of President Obama (mom is a big fan) at a dinner roast. He was making light of predator drones. Predator Drones are unmanned planes that we use to blow up people in their homes in Pakistan. Today we learned that the primary suspect in the attempted Times Square bombing is a naturalized citizen from Pakistan. What a coincidence?

Everyone is talking about this Arizona immigration law. (1 MILLION Strong AGAINST the Arizona Immigration Law SB1070)  Yours truly included. I just don't understand how Arizonians could create that law. We need immigrants! The role they play in our society is directly evolved from slavery and indentured servitude. Who will serve us our food in restaurants, who will dry our cars at the car wash, who will do the roof work, who will work those 12 hour shifts and even do doubles? Who will work out in the cold, on the weekends, etc.? Come on now. It's one thing to deny that we are all immigrants, but if we also choose to ignore the reality that we need immigrants, what are we also saying? That we've decided to re-institute indentured servitude or slavery! That there is another group out there available for exploitation?
I think those Arizonians are cutting off their nose to spite their face?
